How It All Started – our story

Our Story

LR 872 1024x683 - How It All Started - our story

Everyone’s story is unique and this is our story. In 2013, our family purchased a farm in Cedar Hill, Tennessee, which became our weekend getaway. We quickly learned what country living was all about! As a family, we worked most weekends renovating the farmhouse and barns, as we strive to be good stewards of the land. The farm is maintained in such a way to preserve the natural beauty of the 63 acres we call L&L Farm. By the way, our farm was named for our two daughters, Lauren and Lindy.

L&L Farm’s first wedding was for our oldest daughter in October 2016. We knew we had to share all of the natural beauty this farm has to offer. The unique outdoor spaces, gorgeous countryside, and lush scenery are perfect for the Big Events in your life! We’re ready to host and welcome you and every single person you invite here for your special event. We can’t wait to meet you and hear your story and dreams for your wedding. VENUE HISTORY:

trestle and creek 768x1024 - How It All Started - our story

Cedar Hills’ rolling hills, rustic farms, and winding backroads are rich in history. Historical news articles document that the area surrounding L&L Farm was the site of a military training camp during the Civil War called Cheatham Camp. Due to the railroad and multiple natural springs that run through the property made it an ideal location. One of the truly unique features of L&L Farm is the double trestle bridge that was built shortly after the Civil War. A copy of the original  blueprint from 1889 is showcased and framed inside of the venue.  The left side of the culvert was originally used as a road and Spring Creek (which our private drive is named after) runs through the right side. It truly is a gorgeous backdrop and perfect location for a wedding ceremony, special event, or photoshoot.
