1. EAT

You likely paid quite a lot for that wonderful meal you personally picked out so go ahead and indulge. Tell your planner to carve out a few moments to enjoy your meal with your groom. We are talking no regrets for wedding day so just ask that planner to stash some appetizers away as you are busy taking photos. Kris with Wildwood Event Co does this for all her couples during the after ceremony photos. You might even want to consider placing your sweetheart table away from the reception – close, but not too far away. We even had a couple eat their dinner in the groomsmen suite to have some alone time, which is the perfect segway into the next tip.

2. Alone Time With Your Spouse – No Regrets Here

A little alone time with your soon to be spouse is a great reason to do a first look. If you are totally against it, I get it. Make sure you make a point to spend time together throughout the reception.

3. Choreograph Your First Dance

You might be thinking, ohhhh all eyes on me – not gonna happen. Maybe consider adding a little flair to your special dance instead of just swaying back and forth. How bout a dip? The audience will go wild and you will have No Regrets!

4. Pay the Photographer to Stay the Entire Night

Who doesn’t want photos showing all the fun with your friends and family? A lot of your wedding photos will be posed and what not. Why not have photos to remember all of the fun dancing the night away! We have posted some great ones over on the Instagram account for L&L Farm (see @landlfarm).

5. Hire a Videographer – you will have no regrets with this one

Below you will find one of our favorite videos taken in early October or go to the homepage of L&L Farm and scroll to the bottom to check out a few more videos taken from various videographers. Once drone video started becoming a part of wedding videos, it sold me. Just do it! How cool to show your kids one day! I had one from my wedding in 1986 and yes, they did have video way back then (haha) and I have shown it to my adult kids.

6. Pay all vendors prior to wedding day

Who knows where your checkbook will be during your wedding. Take care of those admin duties prior to your wedding day. You probably have a good idea of how you would like to tip your vendors, so just go ahead and have that done and placed in envelopes.

7. Mingle With ALL of Your Guests

Try and speak with everyone if only for a fleeting moment. They were excited to celebrate with you so show them your appreciation even if you just say “thanks for coming.” This is one of the biggest regrets brides have after their wedding.

8. Plan Transportation for Your Guests

Especially if you are a destination wedding, this is so appreciated by your guests. This will help eliminate their getting lost, being late, etc. After all, they have a celebration to get to. Also, here at L&L Farm, we offer an optional service for your guests, Guest Shuttle service in golf carts. Ask us about this as guests SO appreciate that ride on a property where we have 62 acres. The feedback from guests being able to ‘catch a ride’ is overwhelming positive. This service can be added on within the last month of your wedding.

9. Honor Your Parents

All a parent really wants to hear is thank you and I love you. Am I right? Ask your planner their thought on including this. You could allow your parents a special dance or give a toast in their honor. I mean the Bible does command us to Honor thy parents. If that last statement does not apply to you, keep reading…

10. Dance the Night Away – No Regrets here

There is a lot going on and so many guests to speak with. Be sure and ask your planner and DJ to call you to the dance floor for several songs (especially your favorites) just to help you from getting caught in long winded conversations with Aunt Betty or Uncle Joe.
